Drill Tokyo is a creative team that specializes in integrative strategies, combining their expertise in areas like content production and advertising to come up with truly innovative projects. The video below features a project that celebrates an inextricable part of Japanese culture: rice.

The projections become increasingly more differentiated as they progress, starting first by acknowledging the form of the rice as exactly what it is and slowly transforming the grain of rice into other objects entirely. The textures and images break and shift across the grain's tiny surface, slowly turning it into a portal to a surreal visual experience. This transformational style is a nod to the ancient Japanese concept of shogyo mujo, or the impermanence of worldly things.
