Artist Ruslan Khasanov knows exactly how a macro lens should be used, and in his video Pacific Light he shows off his incredible ability to capture magic at the minute level. Using blue, magenta, yellow, and white ink, he creates a mixing and melting world of wonder that feels entirely surreal.

If you're unfamiliar with macro lenses or macro photography, you simply need to know that a macro lens greatly magnifies whatever it films, though the subjects in macro photography tend to be very tiny. In using a macro lens, Khasanov was able to reveal the minuscule particles that make up a greater flow of ink. Ink, which seems to be a relatively simple material, takes on a whole new form in Pacific Light, reminding us that what we see with our eyes is rarely a complete picture.
