Photographer Benjamin Von Wong takes us on a journey in this exclusive look at the making of this shipwreck photo series. The shoot takes place 25 meters below surface of the ocean in Bali, so the entire crew must work underwater and in scuba gear. The models, who are all free divers, only have oxygen masks between shots and are seen holding their breath to capture these ephemeral shots. All this hard work absolutely pays off, however, because the resulting shots are so breathtaking, they barely seem real.
As Von Wong explains at the end of the video, one of the most important parts of creating good art is being overwhelmingly passionate about your work; it's quite clear that Von Wong loves what he does. If you're an aspiring photographer or someone who is simply looking to step up your photography game, make sure to check out Von Wong's other videos.
